Binesi Training Centre

Broadband Communications North (BCN) is a local Internet Service Provider (ISP) that is leading in the efforts for ongoing expansion of broadband networks to First Nations, remote and rural communities in Manitoba. The Binesi Training Centre was established in 2017 by BCN to serve as a dedicated training facility to support this expansion proactively. Where networks are needed, technicians must be available to engineer, build, and maintain the systems which rely on them. Binesi Training Centre offers a diverse array of certifications providing community members the skills and knowledge required to work as network technicians, certified fiber optic technicians, solar installation technicians, technical support staff, network maintenance, and customer service professionals. 

Our main training facility is located in downtown Winnipeg. However, the Binesi training staff often facilitate off-site, custom training sessions on demand. We have partnered with post-secondary institutions to enable training in several communities. Currently, we specialize in micro-training (“just-in-time” training) which leads to job ready skills and certifications in very high-demand fields.
